Joel Gaulkin is one of the Firm’s senior litigation attorneys. Mr. Gaulkin’s practice is focused primarily on business dispute resolution including commercial litigation and appeals. For 30 years, Mr. Gaulkin has handled cases on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants involving disputes arising out of contracts, real estate, professional torts, business torts, creditor-debtor issues, tax, and corporate matters.
Mr. Gaulkin was raised in Miami, Florida and received his Bachelors and Masters of Business Administration from Emory University, Atlanta Georgia in 1976 and 1977 respectively. Mr. Gaulkin became a Certified Public Accountant in 1979 with “Big Eight” accounting firm experience. Before going inactive as a Certified Public Accountant to concentrate on his legal practice, Mr. Gaulkin earned a Masters of Science in Taxation degree from Florida International University in 1983 and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami in 1988. Mr. Gaulkin is a member of The Florida Bar Association and United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He has served on two Florida Bar grievance committees, including one as Chairman.
