Jeff Cooperman has been practicing with the Firm since early 2007. During his tenure with the Firm, he has become an accomplished advisor to corporate entities, planned community developers, country club owners and developers, and real property investors in connection with their acquisition, development, construction, improvement and sale of property. Mr. Cooperman serves as lead HOA counsel to a national homebuilder, in additional to a number of other high volume homebuilders throughout the State of Florida.
Mr. Cooperman has a depth of experience in the creation of HOA and condominium declarations, construction contracts, easement and other use agreements, and has had great success in working with local governments throughout Florida, in addition to other agencies serving the State and local governments, inclusive of water management districts and other environmental agencies. Mr. Cooperman has also been called upon to assist in the drafting of recent legislation regarding homeowners and condominium associations, and serves as a resource to a number of auditing firms within the State with respect to issues surrounding community association budgeting.
Before joining the Firm in 2007, Jeff Cooperman practiced as a criminal defense attorney for the Law Offices of the Public Defender for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. Mr. Cooperman earned his undergraduate degree in International Politics from the University of Denver and received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Miami School of Law. Mr. Cooperman is a member of The American Bar Association and The Florida Bar Association.
