
Jorge M. Abril has joined Solomon Cooperman Recondo Shapiro Abril Law Firm as a partner, bringing with him a wealth of experience in serving diverse legal needs. With over two decades of distinguished practice, the firm has excelled in areas such as real estate, development, banking, litigation, and commercial transactions.
Mr. Abril's career in healthcare finance began at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, where he worked with critical care physicians. He then relocated from South Florida to Los Angeles to complete his undergraduate degree at California State University. Returning to South Florida, Jorge earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University. During his law school tenure, he was an active member of the National Moot Court Team and served as the Business Manager for the Moot Court Society.
Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1988 and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida in 1989, Jorge developed his litigation expertise as a senior trial associate for a leading South Florida firm. There, he represented the United States in collecting federally guaranteed loans and managed numerous cases through trial. In 1991, he founded Abril Law, concentrating on healthcare reimbursement, managed care litigation, commercial litigation, and post-judgment remedies.
